Kimberley Kampers back up and running and planning a big 2020

Kimberley Kampers, an iconic name in the Australian touring industry, fell on hard times last year (2018). However, in 2019, James Cockburn and Brett McLaren got together and decided to take on the Kimberley Kamper brand and return it to market. James is the new managing director while Brett manages the factory. Both are looking forward to putting Kimberley Kampers back on the map with an exciting range of revamped products. RV Daily spoke with James about relaunching the Kimberley Kamper brand which he described as being both daunting and exciting.

"Starting KK is daunting and exciting at the same time. We are looking forward to the challenge.

"Currently we're working on the 2020 range, and we have been working on standardising the range as well. We want to make the range easier for our customers to choose from," James said.

The key messages James wants customersto takeaway are that the business is back up and running, that it's in the process of simplifying its line-up, and that Kimberley Kampers is "going through some extensive testing to get it [products] right the first time."

There are three Kimberley Kamper products, the Karavan, Kruiser and the Kamper. The focus, according to James, is to open up the range but standardise the features, simplify the models, keep the options manageable with a focus on quality.

While it's building and testing new products, Kimberley is also working on a new website, and are flat out delivering stock to its dealers. See kimberleykampers.com.au for updated information.
