CRZR Industries (pronounced Cruiser) is possibly one of the most innovative caravan manufacturers to the hit the market in decades with an off-road product that has been built from the ground up for serious off-road use.
Rhys Conti, director of CRZR Industries, wanted to create a van that would go pretty much anywhere the tow vehicle could. To that end they have crafted a van that is approximately 1950mm wide, roughly the same width as the average large 4WD. This narrower width helps with tracking behind the vehicle more like a camper than a full-size caravan.
Easy to understand even if the name isn’t at first!

What really sets this van apart is the chassis and suspension system. It starts with a 150x50x3mm steel chassis with a one-piece member front to back that is FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tested to ensure it’s engineered to handle Australian conditions. The chassis is coupled with a fully independent live-axle system coupled with an Air Ride suspension set-up that includes extra-large Firestone airbags delivering up to 200mm of travel.
Cruisemaster axles and brakes are used along with radius arms, bump stops and Panhard rods from the Toyota 79 Series. Matching the air bag suspension are Superior Engineering adjustable shock absorbers with remote reservoirs to prevent the shocks from overheating on jarring corrugations. Mickey Thompson MTZ tyres on 16x8 rims with a LandCruiser five-stud pattern add to the look and performance of this off-road van.

There are two models available at the moment with more to come. The first is the P2 at 7.7m (25ft, 3in) travel length, which suits couples who are into off-road travel. The second is the P4 family van with a travel length of 8.02m (26ft, 3in). There is a raft of options that will make these vans stand out in a crowd and be fully independent for outback and remote travel. Depending on specification Tare weights are around 2500-2600kg making them suited to a large range of vehicles.
