Long Range Automotive celebrates 30 years!
Roger and Anthony Beimers from Long Range Automotive (LRA) have been manufacturing replacement and auxiliary fuel tanks for 30 years this October - 2019.
Anthony started making modified fuel tanks to suit cars with gas conversions as the LPG revolution took off, where the fuel tank was being fitted underneath the vehicle and shared space with the LPG tank.
This led to a discussion by the brothers as to a potential way to manufacture tanks for 4WDs that would allow more fuel to be carried for extreme outback touring, and LRA was born.
Long Range Automotive started in a small factory in Lilydale in the foothills of the stunning Yarra Valley. Three factories later and the LRA team are still in the same street and still manufacturing a massive range of tanks.

Roger proudly stated, “We are extremely happy to be able to provide the tanks we do for an expanding 4WD and RV market.” Roger continued, “We are also catering for a huge overseas market with China being a big consumer of our product along with the USA.”
Celebrating 30 years of manufacturing in Australia is a big effort and one Roger and Anthony are very proud of.
