Welcome to RV Daily

Are you hungry for the latest in RV news, reviews and travel?

At RV Daily, we’ll give you up-to-date news, reviews and videos on the latest caravans, campers and motorhomes.

It’s finally underway. RV Daily has begun filming Foodie Trails, our new TV show, and we’re very excited about the content, and the presentation. What’s the concept? Well, we’ve embarked on a series of adventures that deliver great caravan touring destinations and combine them with the things that keep us sustained; food, drink, and interesting people.

We are wrapping up the second episode as I write this, and I’m delighted with what we’ve seen so far. The towns we have visited in the New South Wales Central West have turned up wonderful Australian creators, dreamers and innovators that strive to produce mouth-watering delicacies via bakeries, butcheries, farms, restaurants and cafes.

These lovely people have been only too keen to share all but their most secret ingredients with us. They’ve welcomed us into their establishments and talked with us about what makes them tick and given us inspiration and the material to create our own recipes that then are shared with you, and the guests that we have entertained, and them us, at happy hours we’re hosting every few days as the town we wrap an episode in.

The show presenters are Anthony ‘chef Macca’ McDonald, who chases the ingredients and talks to restauranteurs and wine makers, among others, and then cooks for everyone. Chef Macca has crossed the continent as a tour leader and caterer, but he’s been blown away by the new places he’s pencilled into our itineraries. Journalist Emma Ryan has been making surprising discoveries of her own, and foraging for new produce and ingredients to share with our team, and you. And me? I’m there to eat. Oh, and to look after the caravan and camping side of things and to make sure you’re all aware of the wealth of information we’re building on our website as a fantastic touring guide.

It’s all designed to create a great resource for you to use, and to make sure that the things we love most are celebrated and incorporated into your caravan adventures on Foodie Trails of your own. There’s absolutely no reason to not eat and drink fantastically well when your caravan provides the kitchen.

There’s a huge amount of humour in the show, and we want to convey how much fun we’re having because the personalities involved are huge – and I’m referring to the foodies we’re meeting as much as the team making the show. And while you might be thinking that you’ll have ‘’seen it before’’ I have to say I reckon you haven’t, but you will have to tune in to find out. We’ve teamed up with great partners too and the website will be chock full of useful tips and content, however, when you sit down to watch the show Foodie Trails our aim is to make you hungry. Not just for food, etc, but to reacquaint yourself with the caravan adventures you should be having. And there are plenty of people out there more than willing to provide you with sustenance of wonderful quality to do just that.

Episode one of RV Daily’s Foodie Trails airs on Channel 10 on the 1st of December (2019), and we will keep you posted with updates and times so please keep an eye on our social media channels too.

We leave the Central West this week and head to the NSW South Coast and we’d love to ask you to one of our happy hours. We’ve been knocking on doors and inviting new friends, so if you get wind of one, please come on over.
