Ezytrail introduces lifetime warranty on chassis and drawbar

In an industry first, Ezytrail has announced it will offer a lifetime, single-owner warranty on its new generation F3 and F5 chassis. The F3 chassis will be covered for life for on-road use, and the F5 chassis will be covered for life for off-road use.

The move comes after the company issued a voluntary ACCC recall in late 2018 on its early model K-Series Mark 1 campers sold between 2015 and 2017. In a bid to improve the safety of its campers and restore consumer confidence in Ezytrail products, the company subjected its new generation chassis and drawbar to an independent engineer’s scrutiny.

The resulting report deemed the drawbar compliant to Australian Design Rule 62/02 (mechanical connections between vehicles) and AS 4100-1998 (R2016) (steel structures), while the chassis is compliant under Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (building small trailers).

With the engineer’s report giving the new-gen chassis and drawbar the tick of approval, Ezytrail has announced both will be covered for life under warranty. The first Ezytrail product to be fitted with the new F5 chassis is the new Lincoln LX M3 hard-floor camper-trailer, which was launched in June at the Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow.
